How to Be a Good Mom
Always love them no matter what they do. Love is the most important gift you can give your children. And also always hug your children no matter how big they are because everyone needs hugs to survive. All children’s are naughty so every time your child does something naughty like spill juice on your brand new furniture, just take a deep breath and count to ten. Sometimes it’s really hard not to yell and all mothers yell at some point.
Your children will learn to respect you only if you respect them. Be happy about the little things they do for you, and always appreciate them and then they will do them more often. Show your children how much you are willing to do for the family. They need to know that their mother is a responsible person and cares for their needs. This will teach them to do the same for their families in the future. Building a loving home for a child is the ultimate responsibility.
Set goals for your children, your family and yourself. Have you family involve in your goals. Teaching your children to make their own goals and challenge them to achieve them. For example, If they want to something in particular or a specific toy and it is not yet Christmas or her birthday, have them do some chores around the house that they normally don’t do and have them earn their needs. This way they will value want they receive.
Teach your children about traditions and about your family history. Some families have holiday traditions, others have daily traditions. You could always cook an old family recipe together or sing old traditional songs etc. Keeping family traditions alive keeps the family close.
Children are born innocent. It is best to keep them that way as long as possible. Moms are the best influence to their children. Be kind to your children. Through kindness, children learn to be kind to others as well. Children always have tons of questions to ask. Attend to those questions and talk to them. Children prefer to hear more about life from their loved ones or the person they trust rather than a stranger. By talking to them, your children will learn to love and respect you more. Keep in mind its only when you treat your children with love, dignity and respect will they treat you the same.
