We have all heard the stories of people that start a internet business and decide to quit after a couple months and say how it didn’t work;but why? Many times we don’t ask why it didn’t work but the number one reason that we have all found is that they didn’t know how to increase revenue in their internet business, which is really no surprise that they would quit. Let’s consider that most businesses and any type of new adventure or new skill that we approach takes time to be productive and true dedication will move us forward!
The vast majority of people will agree that it can be much faster to make money online, myself included. This is primarily due to lower start up cost and nearly no overhead. Just like a traditional brick and mortar business, it does take time to establish yourself and your business. I wanted to write this article to help you jump start and increase revenue with your internet business.
The Only Way You Will Fail Is to Quit
The only way you will truly fail is quitting, ever heard that as you were growing up and trying new things, whether it be riding a bike, play a new game or learn a new language? Think of the many things that you have tried and succeeded at in your life, what if you quit on trying to learn those skills; where would you be today? What if as a small child you decided to give up on learning how to walk, how would your life be today? Would you be wondering “What could have been?” Do you have a crystal ball in your pocket, can you tell the future? Well neither can I so this is why I have never decided to quit on something that I know that many other people have done before me and been successful at it. There was a time in my life that I worked for a major retailer and I started in the big tool department, but from day one I made myself a promise that I would never go home early due to the following two reasons:
1.Service- I knew I gave the best customer service out of everyone on my team and I had knowledge that no one else did. If I left early, what type of service would my customers get?
2. Selling More Products and Services – Since I never made it to class on fortune telling I knew that there was the strong possibility that anyone could walk through at any time and request additional help on picking out a new tool or need a service on one of them. Just like your internet business you never know who will be the next person that lands on your site that has just had the worst day at work and decides it is time for a change.
This is no different than the approach I use with my many different internet businesses day in and day out. My focus is to make sure that all my customers and or clients receive my very best skills, knowledge and mindset so that they can get the best results that they are looking for. With every day that passes by I take time out of my day to learn new skills, broaden my knowledge and focus on my mindset and then share my findings with people to also help them in their wishes and dreams.
Simple Ways To Explode Your Online Traffic
As we all know with any business, traffic is the key to success or failure, and on the internet it is no exception. Your online internet business needs people visiting your website or business on a daily basis and I mean hundreds of them at a time if not thousands. Just imagine if you just made the most awesome invention and it was going to change the world, but you couldn’t share with anyone your invention; what good would it be? Or think about if you were going to open a hot dog stand on a deserted island; no one around to buy the hot dogs means your business would be very short lived.
Customers or future clients have got to get to your website before they can even begin to see your offer, and from there you can build on it. Most of the time that we have an internet business there are others similar to it online. People do need and want for what you have to offer. If these customers are not coming to your website, be rest assured they are going to your competitors. Promote your website and watch your sales skyrocket from there. Are You Providing Value?
What product and/or service are you offering? Are the products and/or services provided at a fair price? Sometimes you have to give away a sample. I do it time and time again. For example, I spent six weeks building a dominant e Book on banner advertising. I now give this e Book away for free on my website. This provides a great experience for people and it gets my name out on the internet which promotes word of mouth advertising. If a customer or client is treated fairly by a service you provide or found your product useful, they will tell other people. On the other hand, if you don’t provide good content or a less than desirable service, they also tell their friends. So whatever you do, provide a great experience and do what you say you are going to do. If you have a website and are promoting instant access to a how to video on blog building, then you better make it instant; don’t email it to them as that is not considered instant. Good rules of thumb is put yourself in the customer’s shoes and ask another person look at your site for thoughts. A happy customer or client can be your best marketing you will ever find.
Be The Leader
Becoming a Leader In your industry and branding yourself as one is a very important step in this business and really any business. Becoming a Leader online and having a very clean and pristine website is crucial because then it sends a very clear message on who you are and what you stand for. Just like you were taught as you were growing up, you only get one chance to make a first impression.
Not Accepting I O U’s
There are many ways to accept different forms of payment, although I would not recommend accepting wooden nickels,I O U’s or even peanuts. Many business owners overlook this small but important detail. They offer a product or service but only offer one payment method. You want the customers that want to give you money, to have an easy time doing it. If you look around at other successful internet business owners you will see that they accept cash, e Check, credit cards, and other methods like PayPal.
